Prof. dr. Ulrik Dalgas

Professor, Exercise Biology, Dep. Public Health, Aarhus University, Denmark.
Ulrik Dalgas is an exercise physiologist specialized in rehabilitation of neurological patients based at Aarhus University in Denmark, where he is head of a research team specialized in exercise and neurological diseases. In particular most of his research focuses on the effects of exercise therapy in subjects with multiple sclerosis (MS). His main research covers the effects of different exercise modalities (e.g. resistance training and endurance training) and much of his ongoing research focuses on understanding the effects of exercise on brain structure and function. He is previous executive board member and secretary for the European organization Rehabilitation in Multiple Sclerosis (RIMS) and current executive board member for the Danish MS Research Association (DAREMUS). Finally, he has authored more than 170 scientific papers and several book chapters.
